What is Aquasprints ?
Aquasprints is designed as fun, low stress introduction to competitive swimming and is aimed at younger (swimmers 12 years old and younger). Shorter distances(all swims are 25m) and shorter time length for the gala(2-3hrs) make it much more approachable and less intimidating for the younger swimmers. Allowing them to build their confidence and compete in a safe relaxed environment
How does it work:
It works Club(Team) basis. Each swimmer represents their Team and wins points based on their results. All the points over the even totaled up and the club with the most points is the winner.
There are four age groups:
GROUP A: born 2017
GROUP B: born 2016
GROUP C: born 2015
GROUP D: born 2014
Individual Events -> 25m races in all four strokes(freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly) in each age group. 2 Swimmers from both male (open) and female represent the team in each stroke at each Age group.
Relay Events -> Medley Relay 4x25m; mixed with two girls and two boys(open swimmers) per team
