Galway Swimming Club swimmers are invited to attend the Future Challenger Series 2026-27 Meet 1 taking place on Saturday 3rd October 2026 at Leisureland, Salthill.

📋 Entry Guidelines
- This Gala is focused towards younger and less expericenced swimmers. Ideal for those who have not raced before.
- The minimum entry age is 10 years as of 31 December 2026. Born in 2016.
- Swimmers in Squads Pathway 1 & 2: Each swimmer will be entered into two individual 50m events. Coaches will select the most appropriate events for each swimmer.
- Swimmers in all Other Squads: Each swimmer will be entered into three individual events. Coaches will select the most appropriate events for each swimmer.
- Galway Swim Club pay for and organise the relay teams. No need for you do to anything in relation to this.
- Athletes may swim a maximum of THREE individual events and are limited to ONE distance per stroke.
- Pathway 0 swimmers are not eligible for this Gala.
- Please do not enter if you are planning to compete in Aspiring Champions Series (higher level gala’s for older more experienced swimmers) you cannot compete in both. Please talk to your coach if you are unsure.

- Mixed 4 x 25m Freestyle Team Relay (FTR)
🚫 Tech Suit & Photography Policy
- Tech Suits: In accordance with the Swim Ireland Tech Suit Policy, swimmers are not permitted to compete in a tech suit at this meet, irrespective of age.
- Photography: Strictly no photography is permitted on deck as per the Swim Ireland Competition Photography guidelines.
